Week 1: Physical limits, Day 5: Against the odds, Activity 3: Own choice

 Name:  Ann Bancroft.
Ann Bancroft was born in 1955 in Mendota Heights, Minnesota.  She loved being outdoors when she was young.

A descripition of the work they do/have done:
In 1986: Ann dogsleds 1,600 km from Northwest Territories in Canada to the North Pole, she was the only female member of the Steger International Polar expedition.

In 1993: Ann leads the American Women´s Expedtion to the south pole, a 67 day expedition of 1,060 km on skis by four women.

Feburary 2001: Ann and Norwegian polar explorer Liv Arnesen become the first women in history to sail and ski across Antarctica´s landmass.

An explanation of how they/their work has had an impact on the lives of others:
Anna Bancroft is internationally recognized leader who is dedicated to inspiring women and girls world wide to unleash and accomplish their dreams. She shares about her dreams of outdoor adventure, which inspires others world wide to pursue their individual dreams!

    Ann Bancroft was pretty amazing wasn’t she! I didn’t know anything about her until I read your post, so thanks for sharing that information. Your image attribution is great too, keep it up!
